I have not had much time for my own projects, however the work I have become involved with has been channeling whichever peculiar media skills I've gained in the last five years for the public good and education - and it is one of the few lucky non-soulless media jobs out there in which to support myself. More importantly, these projects have centralized with the support of and for youth. I had never been involved with so many projects like these at once, and it is hard work, but I am quite happy.
The projects feel more than a simple accomplishment because it reaches a deeper level, say, the differences of working on a high end commercial for a completely useless retail product, versus a simply made public service announcement that goes on to win funding for the kids' small safety and awareness organization. In many ways its balancing, in an unbalanced world.
